NDIS
Enhancing the quality of life for people with disabilities.
Assistance and services
What is the NDIS?
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) supports people with disabilities, their families, and carers. NDIS is run by the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA). The NDIS assists those with a permanent and substantial disability that affects their capacity to participate in daily activities. It brings together the community, government, and industry to tackle the challenges that individuals with disabilities face. NDIS Provides funding to eligible people with disability to acquire more time with friends and family, access to new skills, and greater independence.
The NDIS now supports over 500,000 Australians with disabilities in obtaining access to the services and support they want.
This includes assisting nearly 80,000 children with developmental delays in receiving an early intervention to ensure the best possible outcomes throughout their lives.
